1. About These Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Orien(“Orien”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company incorporated in India. By subscribing to, or otherwise using, any Orien service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via WhatsApp or email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Our Services
Orien provides a personal lifestyle management service. A dedicated Lifestyle Manager works on your behalf to handle tasks including, but not limited to:
- Travel research, booking, and itinerary management
- Appointment scheduling (medical, beauty, professional, and personal)
- Household coordination — maintenance, repairs, and vendor management
- Groceries, meal planning, and specialist product sourcing
- Household staff management (hiring support, attendance, and payroll coordination)
- Personal errands — gifts, bill payments, deliveries, and organisation
- Restaurant reservations, event tickets, and experience bookings
Services are delivered primarily via WhatsApp. We act as your personal agent and coordinator; we do not directly employ tradespeople, drivers, or other third-party service providers unless explicitly stated.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India to use our services. Our services are currently available only within India. By agreeing to these Terms you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Subscription & Payment
4.1 Subscription Plan
Orien operates on a monthly subscription model. Your subscription fee covers unlimited task requests within the scope of services described in Section 2. The current price is displayed on our website and confirmed at checkout.
4.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All amounts are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable Goods & Services Tax (GST). A consolidated statement of any third-party purchases made on your behalf will be issued separately with no hidden mark-ups.
4.3 Third-Party Expenses
Any out-of-pocket costs incurred while carrying out tasks on your behalf (e.g., booking fees, restaurant deposits, purchase of goods) will be charged at cost. We will always seek your approval before incurring expenses above an agreed threshold.
4.4 Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time via WhatsApp or email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued for unused days unless required by law. Refunds, where applicable, are governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (India). If no tasks have been initiated on your behalf within 7 days of your first payment, you may request a full refund by contacting us.
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information necessary to complete your requests.
- Respond to clarification messages in a timely manner.
- Use the service only for lawful personal purposes.
- Not request tasks that involve illegal activities, harassment, or deception of third parties.
- Maintain the confidentiality of any account credentials shared with us.
6. Our Responsibilities & Limitations
We will carry out all tasks with reasonable skill and care. However, Orien acts as your agent and coordinator; we are not responsible for the quality, safety, or performance of third-party services or products procured on your behalf.
We do not guarantee availability of specific restaurants, tradespeople, venues, or products. Where a specific request cannot be fulfilled, we will offer alternatives.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Confidentiality
We understand that you will share personal, household, and financial details with us. We treat all such information as strictly confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except where necessary to carry out your requests or as required by law. 8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Orien website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Orien Lifestyle Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
9. Acceptable Use
You must not use our services to:
- Facilitate any illegal activity.
- Harass, threaten, or harm any person.
- Transmit spam, viruses, or malicious code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems.
- Engage in any commercial activity on your own behalf using our resources without our consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your subscription immediately, without refund, if you breach this section.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate the service relationship at any time. We may terminate your subscription with 30 days' written notice for any reason, or immediately in the event of a serious breach of these Terms. On termination, we will return any unspent third-party funds held on your behalf.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
